A 33-year-old nulipara woman was admitted to the emergency department with abdominal pain in the right iliac fossa, associated with nausea and vomiting. On physical examination, she presented with involuntary guarding in the lower abdomen and severe pain upon sudden removal of pressure to the right iliac fossa.
