Case 102


A 30-year-old male patient is admitted to a public teaching hospital for anasarca. For the last 7 months, he has been presenting with shortness of breath on mild exertion and, most recently, with edema of the lower extremities. He has history of smoking, illicit drugs use and heavy drinking since he was sixteen. He denied any previous blood transfusion. A chest radiograph is requested.
