Case 75

Medical history

A 23-year-old female patient attended an endocrinologist on account of a family history of Hashimoto's thyroiditis. As she was examined, a nodule could be felt in the anatomical area corresponding to the thyroid gland. A blood test to measure TSH and a neck ultrasonography were then requested. The TSH levels presented within the normal range.
