Medical history 34 years-old male presented to the family health care center with conjunctival erythema, odynophagia, malaise, myalgia and fever of 102.2°F, and was treated empirically at this episode with metamizole (dypirone) and amoxicillin. He reported tick stings that same day. A couple of hours after the first dose of the prescribed medication, the patient exhibited an erythematous/purpuric rash, with confluent plaques and sero-hemorrhagic blisters compromising face, trunk, members, as well as buccal and penile mucosa.
